Real Chaos

Over the last several days (please don't ask when it began - I've been having trouble remembering dates lately) I have been noticing that the pain I've been feeling in my back is reducing little by little. The important thing is that I have noticed a decrease in the pain. This is not to say that I have had no pain. Just as it is true that the pain is decreasing, it is equally true that I have had periods of the day when pain was a part of the routine. Again, the important thing is that there has been a decrease in pain.

We still wait to hear from Georgetown's Lombardi Cancer Center to arrange an appointment. This time they may agree that I am prime to enter a clinical trial. I must tell you that the moment Dr Felice mentioned this last Wednesday, my first thought was "No! Not ready!" I even told Cynth that I didn't want to go to Georgetown yet. But we shall see. I could be mistaken completely about this, and just as last time, I want approach it as God guides in Isaiah 41 to "fear not," for he is with me.

So now you know a few additional things you can add to your prayers for us. And if I haven't already asked for this, please pray for Rachael as she is in Tuscaloosa until July 15. We ask that her training is challenging, that she learns a great deal that will help her become a better dancer. Additionally, we ask that God demonstrates his love for her clearly and unmistakably. We ask the same prayer for Aaron also.

God has been so good to us. We lack answers to a lot of questions, but his peace calms the fear that comes with the not knowing. It is okay now that we don't have all the answers about things. We still would like answers but life no longer turns on those things we don't know. To reach back to yesterday's post, it is okay that we remain with questions, because he is sufficient to cause us to rest in him and to trust in him when all around is the chaos of my heart.
